Surendra Pandey States: No Place for Social Media in CPN-UML

March 16, Kathmandu – CPN-UML leader Surendra Pandey has clarified that while the question of discussing party matters in meetings or on social media is valid, there is no place for social media within UML. On Tuesday night, through Facebook, Pandey commented that UML meetings are simply platforms for issuing directives.

“We have repeatedly presented concrete reform roadmaps and pointed out mistakes in the party’s official forums and meetings,” Pandey wrote, “but instead of seriously listening and discussing those voices, they were confined to a corner as mere notes of dissent.” He implied that when meetings are not venues for listening and improving, their effectiveness diminishes.

“When meetings become mere formalities for listening and giving orders, wisdom dies, and arrogance takes hold,” he added.

He emphasized that the future UML should operate based on the sentiments of the general cadres and modern working methods, rather than conspiracies behind closed doors or calculations by a limited few.
