March 19, Kathmandu – Times International Club achieved its fourth win in the Himalayan Java National Basketball League (HJNBL) 2026.
In the match held on Thursday at the covered hall of Dashrath Rangashala in Tripureshwor, Times International defeated Playbox Arena 85–73.
Times took an early lead in the first quarter with a score of 26-16. They extended this advantage by winning the second quarter 16-15, leading 42-31 at halftime.
Times further dominated the third quarter, scoring 23-17 in their favor. Although Playbox Arena outscored Times 25-20 in the fourth quarter, it was not enough to prevent Times’ victory.
Kamal Thapa of Times was named Player of the Match.
With this fourth victory in five games, Times has accumulated 9 points. Although Army has the same points, Times currently holds second place due to point difference.
In another game held Wednesday night, Army defeated Roel 103–75.

The second edition of HJNBL, organized by the Nepal Basketball Association (NEBA), features eight teams competing.
The league follows a double round-robin format with a total of 56 games. After the league phase, the top four teams advance to the playoffs.
The playoffs begin with a Qualifier 1 match between the first and second ranked teams, while the third and fourth place teams face off in an Eliminator match.
The loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator then compete in Qualifier 2. The winners of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 meet in the final match.
The tournament champion will receive a cash prize of NPR 400,000, the runner-up NPR 200,000, and the third-place team NPR 100,000.
The player with the most outstanding performance throughout the competition will be named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and will receive an attractive award, NEBA announced.
