Flora Expo Draws Increasing Crowds and Business in Kathmandu (Photos)

March 20, Kathmandu – The 27th Flora Expo, organized at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu to promote the ornamental plant business, is witnessing a growing influx of visitors. Organizers have reported increasing daily attendance and business transactions at the fair.

Hosted by the Floriculture Association Nepal (FAN), the expo began on March 18 (Thursday), attracting 9,500 visitors on its opening day, with business amounting to NPR 2,150,000, according to FAN Treasurer Rajkrishna Bajgain.

On the second day, Friday, visitor numbers rose to 17,500 with transactions reaching NPR 2,950,000. By the third day, Saturday (today), attendance increased to 21,500, generating business valued at NPR 3,980,000, Treasurer Bajgain reported.

The expo features a total of 83 stalls, including 65 commercial, 11 official, 2 competitive, 2 food, 1 landscape, 1 selfie, and one BYD electric vehicle display.

Organizers expect approximately 60,000 visitors by the conclusion of the event tomorrow, with total business exceeding NPR 12 million.
