Strengthening Local Governments Is Essential: Speaker Aryal

Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal emphasized the necessity for local governments to play an effective role in delivering services to the public. He stated that work should be carried out with a strong focus on service recipients, ensuring that no errors occur in service delivery. On the occasion of the 33rd establishment day of the Nepal Municipal Association, Speaker Aryal urged prioritizing social development and good governance through the exchange of experiences and best practices. He reiterated the need to prioritize service recipients and avoid any form of service error.

Speaker Aryal stressed that service recipients’ satisfaction should take precedence over institutional or personal gains. He pointed out that local governments must play an active role in bringing joy to the people and making them feel that the government is working for their benefit. Highlighting the necessity of coordination among all governmental tiers regarding strengthening local governments and budgeting, he affirmed his commitment to this task.
