Google Unveils AI Features to Simplify Summer Travel Experience

Google has introduced new AI features to its services aimed at making summer travel easier. An AI mode that can call local stores on behalf of users to check product availability will be launched in the US within the next few weeks. Additionally, users will be able to track hotel prices by enabling a ‘price-tracking’ toggle and receive email notifications about any changes.

Google’s AI mode will investigate and report whether a specific item is in stock at nearby stores and also allow users to monitor hotel prices through the search engine itself. For instance, if a user needs a particular item such as clip-on lenses for glasses, the AI mode will call local stores to confirm availability. This service is set to become accessible exclusively in the US in the coming weeks.

Regarding hotel price tracking, users can now switch on the ‘price-tracking’ toggle to receive updates whenever there are fluctuations in the cost of a specific hotel. Google will promptly notify users via email about any price adjustments. This option is available under the ‘Prices’ tab on mobile devices.

According to Google Flights, the top searched summer 2026 destinations include Saint Martin, Stockholm, Kansas City, and Sarasota, Florida. Interest in AI has surged dramatically over the past year; for example, searches for terms like “AI travel assistant” and “AI concierge” have increased by 350 percent. Google stated that it is developing AI as an assistant to offer users a hassle-free travel experience.
