April 30, Kathmandu – Vikas Khadka, a cricketer of Nepalese descent, is set to play for the Kansai Chargers in the Japan Premier League (JPL) cricket tournament.

The 20-year-old recently played an outstanding innings of 309 runs in a 40-over Community Cup match in Japan. Following this stellar performance, he earned selection to the team.

This opportunity is seen as the result of his hard work, dedication, and consistent performances.

Previously, Nepali national team all-rounder Karan KC had also been contracted by the Kansai Chargers, but he later withdrew his name.

Japan’s top-tier domestic T20 competition, the JPL, features representative teams from the East, West, South, and North Kanto regions, along with the Kansai area.

The tournament is held over three days during the “Golden Week” holiday in May at a smaller international cricket ground.

Each team plays against every other team once in the league stage, with the top two teams facing off in the final match.
