Voting Completed, Counting to Begin Today for Nepal Chamber of Commerce Election

The election to select the new executive committee of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce has concluded. According to the chamber, vote counting is scheduled to start today. Preparations are underway to begin counting shortly. The chamber’s 60th Annual General Meeting was inaugurated on Monday. As per the chamber’s bylaws, the Senior Vice President automatically assumes the position of President. Consequently, Anjan Shrestha will be elected President by default. Voting has taken place today for the positions of Vice President and Executive Committee members. Two panels, led by Hemraj Dhakal and Shivprasad Ghimire, contested the election. The Dhakal panel had already nominated Hemraj Dhakal for the Senior Vice President position. The elected Senior Vice President, Anjan Shrestha, will automatically become President.
