Saruna Limbu’s Goal Secures Kickstart’s Victory

Saruna Limbu, a member of the Nepalese national women’s football team, scored the decisive goal leading Kickstart to a 1-0 victory over Gokulam Kerala in the Indian Women’s League. With this win, Kickstart climbed to fourth place with 16 points from 11 matches, while Gokulam Kerala remains fifth with 13 points. The Nepali duo Saruna Limbu and Renuka Nagarkote have been instrumental in Kickstart’s impressive performances this season. Kathmandu, 26 Baisakh — Saruna Limbu’s goal helped Kickstart claim a crucial win in the Indian Women’s League (IWL). The match, played on Saturday, saw Kickstart defeat Gokulam Kerala by a narrow 1-0 margin, with Limbu scoring in the 17th minute. After securing this victory, Kickstart moved up to fourth place with 16 points from 11 games, overtaking Gokulam Kerala, who have 13 points from the same number of matches and now occupy fifth place. Although Kickstart and Nita Football Academy are tied on points, Kickstart trails in goal difference. The presence of Nepalese players Saruna Limbu and Renuka Nagarkote has been a key factor in Kickstart’s strong performances. East Bengal leads the league with 27 points from 10 matches.
