May 15, Janakpurdhām – The provincial assembly meeting convened today by Madhesh Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav to seek a vote of confidence remains uncertain.

Internal dissatisfaction within the ruling coalition has caused this ambiguity.

JSP Nepal has not yet finalized its position on whether to support the vote of confidence. Additionally, within the Congress party, the faction led by Shekhar may defy Chief Minister Yadav by crossing the floor.

Following the withdrawal of support for the Madhesh government by Janamat on April 4, the assembly meeting was scheduled to start at 11 a.m. today for the confidence vote.

However, as of 1 p.m., the meeting has not commenced and has been postponed until 1:10 p.m. Currently, the Procedural Consultative Committee is in session.
