
Nepal Medical Council Reverses License Cancellation for 36 Non-Resident Doctors
The Nepal Medical Council has postponed its decision to cancel the licenses of 36 non-resident doctors. In a full council meeting, held on Baisakh 29, it was decided that the names of these doctors will remain registered in the official registry. Earlier, the council had opted to cancel the registration of 19 doctors holding foreign passports.
On Jestha 4, Kathmandu – The council had initially made plans to revoke the licenses of 36 non-resident doctors in two phases. However, due to widespread opposition to this move, the council reconvened and decided to retain the registration of these doctors in the official records. According to Acting Registrar Dr. Dipendra Pandey, a call will now be made to invite all non-resident Nepali doctors worldwide to register with the council.
