
GENJI Organizations Hold Multilateral Discussion on Constitution Amendment
6 Jestha, Kathmandu – GENJI organizations have concluded a multilateral discussion regarding the concept of constitutional amendment. On Wednesday, the GENJI Movement Alliance and The Red Chapter jointly organized a program focused on the “Concept of Constitution Amendment.” Political party leaders, civil society leaders, and GENJI representatives engaged in a thorough debate on various aspects of constitutional amendment.
During the discussion, GENJI activists emphasized the need to amend the constitution while preserving its fundamental spirit, in line with the agreement reached between GENJI movement representatives and the government last Mangsir. Furthermore, organizers stated that the dialogue centered on the necessity of constitutional amendments for social and economic transformation, inclusive prosperity, sustainable peace, sustainable development, and progressive change. According to the organizers, the discussion focused on four key points: the need and purpose of constitutional amendment, scope and limitations of the amendment, thematic areas of amendment, and the procedural framework for the amendment process.
