Cockroach Party Issues Seven-Day Ultimatum to Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to Resign

May 6, Kathmandu – The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has issued an ultimatum to Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, demanding he resign within seven days. During a demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Saturday, the CJP called for Pradhan to step down or for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to dismiss him.

CJP spokespersons Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Rank thanked all attendees after the protest and publicly delivered the warning. “As you saw today, thousands gathered peacefully at Jantar Mantar to demonstrate. We sincerely thank all Cockroach members for their participation,” Das said via the party’s official Instagram.

Rank noted that despite thousands assembled, the government has yet to respond to the call for Pradhan’s resignation. “The Prime Minister has not removed him either,” he stated. “Many may consider this only a protest, but we want to emphasize – this is just the beginning.” He added the government has been given a seven-day deadline. “If Dharmendra Pradhan has any sense of responsibility toward the country’s democracy, he should resign within seven days, or Prime Minister Modi should dismiss him.”

Rank also mentioned plans for further protests if necessary.
