Russian Forces Launch Intense Drone Attacks on Ukraine’s Key Energy Hubs
The Russian Armed Forces have launched a fierce drone assault targeting energy and military infrastructure in various Ukrainian regions including Kyiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, this attack involved the use of a newly developed drone model named ‘Gerbera.’ These drones reportedly succeeded in effectively targeting critical energy facilities operated by the Ukrainian military.
On June 21, Kathmandu – The Russian military has executed widespread drone strikes on principal military and energy infrastructure spread across multiple Ukrainian territories. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the operation focused on Ukrainian-controlled areas within Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Donetsk. The strikes were carried out using Gerbera drones, an unmanned aerial system specially developed by the Russian defense unit. Official videos and statements released by the ministry illustrate that these drones effectively targeted key energy assets managed by Ukrainian forces. Recently, in line with evolving war strategies, Russia has been continuously conducting aerial assaults on vital Ukrainian energy and technical installations.
