Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality Distributes Water Tanks and Pipes to Farmers

June 28, Chitwan – Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality in Chitwan has provided water tanks and pipes on a 100% grant basis to 26 farming households in Ward No. 7. Deputy Chairperson Maya Silwal distributed these water tanks and pipes to the local farmers to assist them with drinking water and irrigation needs. Deputy Chairperson Silwal reported that the farmers were pleased to receive this support.

Under the Thopa Irrigation Program, 500-liter capacity tanks and 400 meters of piping were distributed to residents of the area to facilitate access to drinking water and irrigation facilities, according to Chief Administrative Officer Chandrakant Basnet. He added that the materials were distributed in the communities of Salthana, Darasid, and Sano Bhorle within Ward No. 7.

Primarily inhabited by the Chepang community, this area often faces water shortages. To ease water collection for the farmers, the distribution campaign for tanks and pipes was implemented, as explained by Chief Administrative Officer Basnet.
