Meta Adds ‘Bilingual Captions’ Feature in 15 New Languages to Video Editing App ‘Edits’
June 22, Kathmandu – Meta has enhanced its video editing app ‘Edits’ with new features, delivering an improved user experience. The latest update introduces AI-powered auto-generated bilingual captions, refined creative templates, and fresh seasonal sound effects.
The highlight of this week’s update is the AI-driven ‘Auto-Generated Bilingual Captions’ feature, designed to help creators reach international audiences and broaden their market presence. This functionality offers captions in 15 different languages including English, Hindi, Spanish, French, and Bengali, significantly expanding the global accessibility of videos.
Instagram, which integrates directly with the Edits app, is also promoting the content of foreign creators by displaying a higher number of translated posts on its Explore Feed. This new update is seen as a positive advancement within that initiative.
Additionally, Meta has added a ‘Seasonal Sound Effects’ option to the Edits app. According to the company, these new sounds will help users infuse their video clips with a sense of ‘summer energy.’
To further enhance the creative process, Meta has introduced new tools in the template creation workflow, including extended support for overlays and a clip lock feature. This clip lock functionality ensures clips remain fixed in specific positions, making it easier to transfer clips when reusing templates in the future.
These improvements will facilitate creators in adopting emerging trends and creative styles, encouraging a greater number of users to share updated video content.
Meta continues to roll out new features every two weeks for the Edits app, steadily enhancing its capabilities. For creators focused on short videos or reels, these technologies play a critical role in elevating video quality and presentation.
