The police successfully rescued 33-year-old Apil Mall, who was trapped by floodwaters in the Godavari River of Kailali today. Residents of Bardagoria Rural Municipality – 1 spotted Mall stranded in the middle of the river and promptly informed the police. This information was confirmed by Hirasingh Mahar, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Malakheti Area Police Office.

The officers involved in the rescue operation managed to relocate Mall to a safe location. The swift action by the local community in alerting authorities played a crucial role in ensuring his timely rescue.
