Iran Claims Retaliatory Attacks on US Military Bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has claimed retaliatory strikes on US military bases located in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. The IRGC stated that missile and drone attacks targeted fuel tanks and missile depots at Jordan’s Prince Hassan Air Base. The statement also reported damage to the helicopter maintenance facility and drone command center at Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa Air Base.

The IRGC asserted that these operations were carried out in response to US attacks that took place on Sunday and Monday morning. Citing the IRGC, BBC Persian reported that the attacks inflicted damage on key locations and military resources. In a statement released Monday morning, the IRGC detailed that the missile and drone strikes at Jordan’s Prince Hassan Air Base hit a large missile depot and fuel tanks, causing fires at the site.

Furthermore, the IRGC stated that Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa Air Base was also targeted. According to the IRGC, the assault damaged the US military’s helicopter maintenance center, the hangar housing P-8 electronic warfare aircraft, and the drone command and control center.
