
MadhuSudan Upadhyay Appointed CEO of Footballers Mission Together
The board of Footballers Mission Together has appointed MadhuSudan Upadhyay as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer. The mission has also decided to organize the third Veterans Football Tournament starting from Kartik 10. Additionally, in collaboration with Daffodil School, an Under-11 boys and girls football tournament will be held beginning Ashoj 20. Kathmandu, 15 Shrawan.
The Executive Committee meeting of Footballers Mission Together appointed MadhuSudan Upadhyay as the CEO. The committee also nominated various office bearers: Asmita Manandhar and Bal Gopal Maharjan were named Assistant General Secretaries, while Luna Pradhan, Anil Adhikari, Mrigendra Mishra, and Lila Thapa were selected as committee members.
General Secretary Dhirendra Pradhan shared that further decisions were made aimed at the development of Nepali football, encouragement of players in age categories, conducting veteran tournaments, and institutional restructuring. Accordingly, the third Veterans Football Tournament will commence from Kartik 10. Veteran players from across the country can participate, with the winner receiving a prize of NPR 800,000 and the runner-up NPR 500,000. Furthermore, Footballers Mission Together will also organize an Under-11 boys and girls football tournament in collaboration with Daffodil School, starting Ashoj 20. This initiative aims to identify interest and talent in football at a young age.
