Spain Repatriates Thousands of Migrants Who Entered Ceuta from Morocco

Spanish authorities have reported that most migrants who crossed by sea into Ceuta have been sent back to Morocco. Thousands of migrants entered the Spanish enclave city of Ceuta, located on African soil, on Thursday via Morocco. The estimated number of arrivals in Ceuta has reached approximately 60,000.

According to Ceuta officials, the incident resulted in at least 72 deaths, with the possibility that the death toll may rise further. In response to this crisis, the European Union (EU) is preparing to hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday to address the situation.
