State-of-the-Art Swimming Pool Completed at Karnali Stadium

The construction of a state-of-the-art swimming pool at the Karnali Province Stadium complex, aimed at the upcoming 10th National Games, has been completed. Ravindra Chand, Member-Secretary of the Karnali Province Sports Development Council, stated that this pool will significantly enhance the effectiveness of athlete training. The new infrastructure will strengthen regular practice and competitive preparation for swimmers from Karnali. July 9, Kathmandu.

The advanced swimming pool has been completed at the Karnali Province Stadium in Birendranagar, the capital of Karnali Province. Built with a focus on the 10th National Games, this facility will provide a convenient environment for regular training to Karnali’s swimmers. Previously, the lack of proper infrastructure for swimming made consistent practice difficult for athletes. The construction of this pool is regarded as a major achievement in the region.

Ravindra Chand, Member-Secretary of the Karnali Province Sports Development Council, said, “With the swimming pool now complete, athletes in the province will find it easier to train regularly, and preparations for the 10th National Games will become more effective.” He added, “This will also contribute to the development of the athletes’ abilities.”

In anticipation of the 10th National Games, Karnali has prioritized the development and upgrading of sports infrastructure. The new swimming pool is expected to benefit not only athletes preparing for competitions but also contribute to expanding the overall foundation of swimming in the province. Regular training is expected to assist in identifying new talent and enhancing player skills. Despite having potential in swimming, the lack of infrastructure previously created difficulties for consistent practice. Now, with this facility available, athletes will no longer need to depend on facilities in other districts.
