
Demand for Daily Match Allowance for Athletes at National Sports Event
The National Sports Council has decided to hold the 10th National Sports Competition in Karnali Province from December 1 to 13. Biplav Ghosh, Member Secretary of the Koshi Province Sports Development Board, has called for the provision of a daily match allowance for participating athletes and officials to boost their morale during the competition.
At the meeting, it was also decided to organize the first-ever National Para Sports Competition starting from January 29, and to approve the list of the Nepali team for the 20th Asian Games. Kathmandu, August 14: Biplav Ghosh has emphasized the need to arrange daily match allowances for athletes and officials taking part in the national sports competition, stating that this would help enhance their morale.
The meeting confirmed that the 10th National Sports Competition would be held in Karnali Province from December 1 to 13. Additionally, it was resolved to conduct the inaugural National Para Sports Competition starting January 29 and to approve the roster of Nepali athletes and officials for the 20th Asian Games.
Biplav Ghosh shared that the Koshi Province government and the Provincial Sports Development Board are well prepared to successfully organize the 10th National Sports Competition. He also noted that existing facilities such as Baijnathpur Cricket Stadium, Itahari Stadium, and Shaheed Stadium, when managed by the provincial government, could receive further investment for renovation and upgrades.
