Nepal’s HORA Esports Secures 8th Place in PUBG Mobile World Cup, Wins Nearly Two Crore in Prize Money

At the PUBG Mobile World Cup held in Paris, France, Nepal’s HORA Esports achieved 8th place with a total of 109 points. Thanks to an outstanding performance on the final day, HORA Esports secured 8th place and took home a prize of 70,000 US dollars. The Nepalese team entered the grand finals after finishing fourth in the group stage and had previously ranked ninth in the last edition.

The smash rule was applied on the final day, but the tournament outcome remained undecided until the very last match. HORA earned 109 points over 18 matches to clinch the 8th position. By finishing 8th, HORA Esports won a total prize money of 127,500 US dollars, consisting of 57,500 dollars from the group stage and an additional 70,000 dollars from the finals. This prize money equates to approximately 1 crore 94 lakh 31 thousand Nepalese rupees, calculated according to today’s exchange rate.

On the first day of the finals, HORA scored 19 points across 4 matches, followed by 39 points in 8 matches on the second day. HORA’s performance peaked on the third day with an additional 51 points. Although the team did not score in the first match of the third day, it bounced back strongly by earning 21 and 14 points in the second and third matches respectively. The fourth match yielded only 1 point due to lack of zone support.

Having finished 9th in the previous edition, HORA Esports improved significantly to reach 8th place this time. By finishing fourth in their group, they had already secured 57,500 dollars in prize money. The grand finals were won by Turkey’s STG Esports team, which took home a 500,000 US dollar prize. A total of 16 teams earned cash prizes in the PUBG Mobile Grand Finals.
