Nepal National Basketball Team Sent Off for FIBA Asia Pre-Qualifiers

The Nepal national men’s basketball team is set to depart for the UAE on Monday to participate in the FIBA Asia Pre-Qualifiers. The competition will take place from August 24 to 29, featuring a squad of 12 players led by captain Sadish Pradhan. On Friday, Ramcharitra Mehta, Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council, officially bid farewell to the team during a special event.

The squad traveling to the UAE for the FIBA Asia Pre-Qualifiers includes captain Sadish Pradhan, vice-captain Binod Maharjan, Shreyas Bahadur Shah, Asim Shrestha, Saurabh Shrestha, Nischal Maharjan, Sudip Paudel Kshetri, Ajay Kushwaha, Kamal Thapa, Pemba Sherpa, Simon Gurung, and Pranayaman Shrestha. Team management comprises Bhimsingh Gurung, President of the Nepal Basketball Association, Rajen Shrestha, Saroja Koirala Shrestha, team manager Narendra Thapa, head coach Sushil Gurung, assistant coach Ashish Nyaupane, physiotherapist Abhipsa Singh Koirala, medical doctor Rupesh KC, and media officer Siddhartha Khadka. Ramcharitra Mehta conveyed his best wishes to the team during the farewell program.
