Eighth SG Inter-School Futsal Tournament Concludes

The eighth SG Inter-School Futsal Tournament 2026, organized by Swostishree Gurukul IB Continuum School, was held in Kathmandu over four days. Teams from 25 schools competed across four age groups, with Lalita Nath, a member of the RAHEP Board, serving as the chief guest at the closing ceremony. The event took place on 9th Bhadra in Kathmandu.

The championship titles were claimed by Rato Bangala School in the U-11 boys’ category, James School in the U-11 girls’ division, Rai School in the U-12 boys’ group, and Loyalty Academy in the U-14 boys’ category. The ceremony was also attended by Lalita Nath, member of the National Sports Council Board; Anjana Rana Magar, goalkeeper of the Nepal Women’s National Football Team; Pradeep Joshi, founding president of NSSP; Vice-Chairman Mohan Karki; and former RAHEP vice-chairman Shiv Koirala ‘Jwala’.

In the U-11 boys’ division, Rato Bangala School took the championship, with Himshikhar School finishing second and Rosebud School securing third place. In the U-11 girls’ division, James School won the title, followed by Rato Bangala in second place and Swostishree Gurukul in third.

For the U-12 boys, Rai School emerged as champions, Swostishree Gurukul as runners-up, and Kohinoor School secured third place. In the U-14 boys’ category, Loyalty Academy claimed the championship, Ujjwal Tara School finished second, and Rosebud School took third place.

Individual awards included Arnav Raj Bharti from Swostishree being named the best player in the U-11 boys’ category. Subansh Shrestha of Rato Bangala was recognized as the best goalkeeper, and Nirbigna Dhakal was the top scorer. In the U-11 girls’ division, Samrajni K.C. from Pathshala Nepal was awarded best player, Shreem Kharel of Swostishree best goalkeeper, and Shikha Subedi of Rato Bangala was the top scorer.

For U-12 boys, Yonatan Rai of Rai School was declared the best player, Sameer Bohara of Swostishree the best goalkeeper, and Pramik Magar of Kohinoor the leading goal scorer. In the U-14 boys’ category, Keshav Kaple of Ujjwal Tara was named best player, Samarpan Sedhai of Loyalty the best goalkeeper, and Lakshya Shrestha of Rosebud the top scorer.
