Potential Meeting Between Russian President Putin and US President Trump at Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit

September 6, Kathmandu – The Russian state news agency TASS has reported on a potential meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump.

The report states that the two leaders may hold talks during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, which will be held in China.

Kremlin advisor Yuri Ushakov provided this information during an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

“Each leader plans to participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit. Naturally, we will seek to arrange a separate meeting for our leader with Chinese President Xi Jinping. And, if the opportunity arises, our leader will also meet with the US President,” Ushakov said in the interview.

Ushakov added that the timing and length of the possible discussion between Putin and Trump will depend on several factors.
