Iran’s Parliament Speaker Confirms Sending Conditions for Talks with US Through Mediators

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, has announced that Iran has transmitted its messages and conditions for talks with the United States through intermediaries. Speaking to the parliament, Ghalibaf emphasized ongoing efforts aimed at a decisive end to the conflict. He stated, “Some speak of war, but fail to present a clear direction for its decisive conclusion.”

Ghalibaf warned that such thinking risks dismissing all possibilities of dialogue and diplomacy, gradually leading the country toward a prolonged and endless war that would weaken it. He added, “We must both fight and engage in negotiations.” He firmly clarified that until Iran’s previously stated conditions are fulfilled, talks should not resume nor should discussions about reopening the Strait of Hormuz take place.

Earlier, Mohsen Rezai, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, voiced a similar stance. He revealed that Iran has sent its conditions for negotiations to the US via Qatar and Pakistan. According to Rezai, Iran is now awaiting a response from US President Donald Trump.
