Nepal’s Susmita Tamang Finishes 13th in Women’s Changquan at Asian Games

At the ongoing 20th Asian Games held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, Nepal’s Susmita Tamang secured the 13th position among 16 competitors in the women’s Changquan event with a score of 9.580 points. The final took place at the Aichi Prefectural Martial Arts Hall, where Lydia Hui Yu Sham from Hong Kong won the gold medal with a score of 9.713. Macau’s Cho Man earned the silver medal with 9.710 points, while Indonesia’s Eugenia Diva Widodo claimed the bronze with 9.706 points.

Kathmandu, 22 September – In the women’s Changquan category at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, Nepal’s Susmita Tamang completed the competition by finishing 13th. She achieved a score of 9.580 among 16 participants. The Nepal Usu Federation congratulated Susmita, describing her score as excellent.

Hong Kong’s Lydia Hui Yu Sham took the gold medal with 9.713 points, Macau’s Cho Man secured the silver with 9.710 points, and Indonesia’s Eugenia Diva Widodo earned the bronze with 9.706 points. Earlier on Sunday, in the women’s Taijiquan and Taijijian events, Nepal’s Savita Rai finished in 10th place.
