20th Asian Games: Both Nepalese Cyclists Defeated

At the 20th Asian Games held at Obata Ryokuchi Park in Japan, Nepalese cyclist Navaraj Nyaupane was lapped and defeated in the men’s cycling competition, failing to secure a ranking. Similarly, Nepal’s Usha Khanal was also lapped during the women’s event. Out of a total of 65 participants, 10 cyclists were unable to complete the designated laps.

Kathmandu, 25 September – In the cycling competition of the 20th Asian Games, both Nepalese athletes Navaraj Nyaupane and Usha Khanal were defeated. In Friday’s men’s cycling race at Japan’s Obata Ryokuchi Park, Navaraj Nyaupane was unable to complete all the required laps. As the leader lapped him, he fell into a lapped defeat and was excluded from the rankings. Among 24 male competitors, 4 failed to complete the laps. On the women’s side, Usha Khanal also did not finish the prescribed distance. Out of 65 total participants, 10 cyclists failed to complete the full laps.
