Nepali Skateboarders Sard and Gajendra Eliminated in First Round at 20th Asian Games

In the men’s skateboarding competition at the 20th Asian Games, Nepal’s Sard Rai and Gajendra Bardewa were eliminated in the first round. Following the heat stage, Sard secured 13th place with 59.84 points, while Gajendra ranked 14th with 52.84 points. Only the top 8 athletes advanced to the next stage, resulting in the elimination of both Nepali competitors.

The event took place on October 10 in Kathmandu. Sard accumulated a total of 59.84 points to finish 13th, while Gajendra earned 52.84 points, placing 14th. Due to their relatively low run scores, neither could progress further in the competition. Both athletes performed well in the trick segment; Sard scored 45.13 points in tricks and 14.71 in runs, whereas Gajendra achieved 43.18 points for tricks and 9.66 for runs.

Leading the standings, Japan’s Toa Sasaki topped the chart with 159.13 points, followed by compatriot Ginwu Onodera in second place, and South Korea’s Juni Kang in third. All three have advanced to the next round.
