Russian President Putin Praises Iran’s Courage

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian engaged in a phone conversation. According to the Iranian president’s office, during the discussion, both leaders talked about further strengthening strategic cooperation. Pezeshkian also extended birthday wishes to Putin.

In the talks, Putin noted that despite ongoing developments and circumstances in various fields of cooperation under the extensive strategic partnership agreement between Tehran and Moscow, progress continues steadily. He also discussed efforts by some countries to reduce tension and mediate, expressing Russia’s support for such diplomatic initiatives. Putin stated that “Iranian friends can be assured of their readiness to support Moscow.” Furthermore, he praised the courage displayed by Iran in facing attacks from the United States and Israel.
