In the ongoing Kabba Men’s Volleyball Championship in Pakistan, Nepal will compete against Bangladesh on Sunday. Having lost their previous three matches consecutively, Nepal must secure a victory against Bangladesh to advance to the semifinals.
Kathmandu – Nepal is set to play its fourth match against Bangladesh on Sunday in the Kabba Men’s Volleyball Championship taking place in Islamabad, Pakistan. This match is crucial for Nepal’s hopes of entering the semifinals after suffering defeats in their first three games. So far, Nepal has managed to earn only 2 points.
Nepal earned 1 point each in their five-set losses against Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka. However, they were defeated in straight sets by the host nation, Pakistan, in their third match. Bangladesh has won two of their three matches and lost one.
On Sunday, matches between Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka, as well as Pakistan and Uzbekistan, are also scheduled. In this six-team tournament, Pakistan remains undefeated with 9 points at the top of the standings. Bangladesh holds third place with 4 points, while Nepal trails with 2 points. For Nepal to reach the semifinals among the top four teams, a win over Bangladesh is essential. Nepal is currently the only team in the tournament without a win. Nepal will face Uzbekistan in their final league match on Monday.
