
Nepal Suffers Consecutive Defeats in Kaba Men’s Volleyball Championship
Nepal was defeated 3-0 in straight sets by Uzbekistan at the ongoing Kaba Men’s Volleyball Championship in Islamabad, Pakistan. Having lost all five of their league stage matches, Nepal managed to earn 3 points but remains at the bottom of the group standings, ending their campaign in the competition. Throughout the Kaba Men’s Volleyball Championship, Nepal has lost all league matches. In their fifth game of the tournament held in Islamabad, Pakistan, Nepal was beaten by Uzbekistan in straight sets 26–24, 25–20, and 25–22, respectively. Despite pushing three of their matches to a fifth set, Nepal was ultimately defeated and finishes the tournament with 3 points, placing last among the competing teams.
The championship features six teams, with the top four sides from the league stage qualifying for the semifinals. The final two league matches will determine the semifinalists. Nepal will compete in the playoff for fifth place, with their opponent to be decided after the remaining league games. Host nation Pakistan currently tops the table with 12 points from four wins, followed by Uzbekistan with 9 points, Bangladesh with 6, Sri Lanka with 5, and Kazakhstan with 4 points.
