Chelsea Signs Experienced Forward Danny Welbeck

England’s Chelsea has signed experienced forward Danny Welbeck from Brighton on a two-year contract. After joining Chelsea, Welbeck expressed pride in his move and stated his intention to give his all for the team. July 31, Kathmandu.

Chelsea has brought the 35-year-old Welbeck from the Premier League club Brighton to Stamford Bridge. Neither club has disclosed the transfer fee. Last season, Welbeck played 37 league matches for Brighton and scored a career-best 13 goals. Only three English players scored more goals than him in the Premier League last season.

Welbeck is Chelsea’s third new signing this term. Previously, Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa and Marco Palestra from Atalanta had joined the team. Upon signing with Chelsea, Welbeck said, “It is a great honor to attract interest from a prestigious club like Chelsea. I aim to give everything for this club and make the supporters proud.”

Since new ownership took over in 2022, Chelsea has prioritized signing young players, but this time around they have included an experienced player in the squad.
