Christian Nørgaard Leaves Arsenal to Join Everton

Christian Nørgaard, the Danish midfielder, has left Arsenal to sign a two-year contract with Everton. Reports indicate that Everton spent around £7 million to secure the 32-year-old’s transfer. Influenced by coach David Moyes’ plans, Nørgaard has expressed that Everton is heading in the right direction for his career progress.

Nørgaard joined Arsenal last year from Brentford for £15 million. Although he played 20 matches in all competitions for Arsenal, he only featured in seven Premier League games. Last season, when Arsenal won the Premier League title after 22 years, Nørgaard was a member of the squad.

During this transfer window, Everton has also signed Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough and young winger Tyreek George from Chelsea. Nørgaard spent six years at Brentford, making 196 appearances and serving as the team captain. Everton will begin the new Premier League season at home against Crystal Palace on August 22.
