Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Chaulagain Suggests Nine Actions for Prime Minister to Undertake

26 Saun, Kathmandu – According to Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa) MP Madhukumar Chaulagain, if the Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) undertakes nine specific tasks, he will not be alone in his efforts. During Tuesday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Chaulagain referred to a recent Facebook status posted by the Prime Minister in which he said, ‘I am alone.’

Addressing the Speaker and the Prime Minister, Chaulagain stated, “Honorable Speaker, a Facebook status from the Honorable Prime Minister came up: ‘I am alone.’ I want to tell the Honorable Prime Minister – establish an integrated education system based on agriculture and technology, and develop an employment plan for trained students according to their skills and interests. You will not be alone.”

As a second suggestion, Chaulagain cited the example of Mahesh Udas, a youth from Panauti-10, who had to go to Greece in search of employment. He said, “The government’s hundred days were being counted; you returned on the 80th day. To end the compulsion where young people must leave their families to seek jobs, formulate plans to establish local cottage industries based on raw materials to generate rural employment opportunities locally. You are not alone.”

MP Chaulagain also addressed issues faced by farmers. He reminded that in this agriculture-based country, farmers suffer from fertilizer shortages and damage caused by wild animals. He urged the Prime Minister to “Develop plans to prevent such damage, offer fair compensation, and control wild animals through forest farming practices that harness wild animal habitats. You are not alone.”

For a fourth important task, he raised the issue of rescuing stranded Nepalis abroad. He remarked, “Design a prompt state response plan to rescue Nepalis facing crises or stranded on foreign soil during their employment abroad, so they feel the presence and support of their country. You are not alone.” Additionally, Chaulagain requested the Prime Minister to focus on expanding electricity access, developing infrastructure, curbing corruption, promoting tourism, and honoring athletes to elevate the country’s name in international arenas.
