Golden Opportunity for Nepalese Women Runners to Participate in Nagoya Women’s Marathon

Nepalese women runners have been given the chance to participate in the world’s largest women-only marathon, the Nagoya Women’s Marathon 2027, to be held in Japan. Certified by the Guinness World Records, this event is scheduled for March 14, 2027, in Nagoya, Japan, with an expected participation of 22,000 women runners. Applications for international participants will be open from August 11 to 24, and those who complete the race will be awarded a special crystal tumbler prize.

Applications for international participation opened on Tuesday. As a ‘Platinum Label Road Race’ under World Athletics, the Nagoya Women’s Marathon will attract world-class runners along with first-time marathon participants aiming to achieve their personal bests. Organizers have increased the event capacity by 2,000 for 2027, ensuring participation of up to 22,000 runners.

Women runners aged between 19 and 80 will compete over a distance of 42.195 kilometers, each setting individual goals. Every finisher will receive a distinctive crystal tumbler, uniquely crafted by the French luxury brand Baccarat. The event ensures a safe and comfortable environment for all participants by providing adequate medical support, clean restrooms, and spacious changing facilities.

The race will start and finish at the Vantelin Dome Nagoya, a baseball stadium with a roof, offering protection against adverse weather. In the 2026 edition, 96.6 percent of participants successfully completed the marathon. During the marathon weekend, various programs will be organized for runners, their families, and supporters.
