Luxury Cars with Premium Models Shine at NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026

August 12, Kathmandu – At the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 held at Bhrikutimandap, luxury and premium vehicles have become the highlight. More than 55 brands of two- and four-wheeled vehicles are on display at the expo.

Vehicles priced from around NPR 1.9 million to approximately NPR 30 million are exhibited.

Denza B5: NPR 29.7 million

Among the displayed vehicles, the Denza B5 stands as the most expensive. Saimex Inc., BYD’s official dealer in Nepal, has presented this premium luxury SUV.

The company has priced the Denza B5 at NPR 29.7 million. This car is available in two variants: Dynamic and Premium.

The Denza B5 features a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine paired with an electric motor. The engine produces 181 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. It comes equipped with a 31.8 kWh LFP battery.

Available with an all-wheel drive system, this SUV includes a 200 kW electric motor at the front and a 225 kW motor at the rear, delivering a combined power output of 425 kW.

According to the manufacturer, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h. It is claimed to have a driving range of 850 km on a full fuel tank and a fully charged battery.

MG Majester: NPR 25 million

The official MG dealer, GO Automobiles, unveiled the MG Majester at the expo. Its price is set at NPR 25 million.

The Majester is equipped with a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that generates 215.5 PS power and 478.5 Nm torque. It features an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

This SUV is available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options. The four-wheel drive version comes with 10 different off-road driving modes, triple differential locks, and cruise control functionality.

The Majester has a ground clearance of 219 millimeters, and the company claims it can be driven through water up to 810 millimeters deep.

For safety, it includes Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and various driving assistance features. Inside, there are two 12.3-inch screens, tri-zone climate control, a 12-speaker sound system, heated and ventilated seats, and massage seats.

Hyundai Ioniq 9: NPR 21.996 million

Hyundai’s official dealer, Laxmi Intercontinental, introduced the Ioniq 9 for sale, with a price tag of NPR 21.996 million.

The Ioniq 9 is a premium electric SUV with seven seats. It features a 110 kWh battery and a 160 kW electric motor.

According to WLTP tests, the Ioniq 9 can cover 620 km on a full charge. The company states that the 350 kW DC fast charger charges the battery from 10% to 80% in about 24 minutes.

The Ioniq 9 is available in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants with dual motors. It features pixel-design LED lights, a digital cockpit, dual panoramic displays, multi-zone climate control, digital key, 360-degree cameras, and ADAS technology.

Toyota RAV4 Hybrid: NPR 21.3 million

Toyota’s official dealer, United Traders Syndicate, revealed the RAV4 Hybrid at NAIMA Expo priced at NPR 21.3 million.

The RAV4 Hybrid is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine. The combined power output of the engine and electric motor is 240 PS.

This self-charging hybrid SUV does not require external battery charging; the battery charges through driving and braking.

According to the company, the new RAV4 features improvements in design, technology, and safety compared to the previous model.

Toyota Hilux: NPR 15.5 million

Toyota also unveiled the new Hilux at the expo, priced at NPR 15.5 million.

The Hilux is a popular pickup known for its sturdy build, off-road capability, and suitability for both commercial and personal use. The new version comes with upgraded exterior design, technology, and comfort features.

It features a robust chassis, high ground clearance, and the capability to handle rough roads. Hilux continues to be in demand, especially for hilly and off-road travel in Nepal.

MG HS Plug-in Hybrid: NPR 12 million

Paramount Motors, MG’s official dealer in Nepal, has launched the MG HS Plug-in Hybrid priced at NPR 12 million.

The MG HS is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine combined with a 135 kW electric motor, delivering a combined power of 295 BHP.

The company claims it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, with an electric-only range of 120 kilometers.

This model includes 507 liters of boot space, dual 12.3-inch screens, 19-inch alloy wheels, heated leather seats, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera system, a head-up display, and wireless charging.

The company offers a warranty of five years or 100,000 km on the motor and eight years or 150,000 km on the battery.

BAIC BJ30e: NPR 11.996 million

Chinese brand BAIC’s hybrid SUV BJ30e is also showcased at the NAIMA Expo. Imported by Laxmi Motor, it is priced at NPR 11.996 million.

The BJ30e combines a petrol engine with an electric motor. Thanks to its hybrid technology, the company claims it delivers better fuel efficiency than conventional petrol SUVs.

It features a boxy design, LED lights, high ground clearance, a panoramic sunroof, a digital instrument cluster, a large infotainment screen, and ADAS technology.

Overall, among the seven luxury vehicles displayed at NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo, four use hybrid or plug-in hybrid technology, while two are fully electric models.

This reflects the gradual adoption of electric and hybrid technology in Nepal’s premium and expensive vehicle market.

The most expensive car at the expo is the Denza B5, followed by the MG Majester and Hyundai Ioniq 9, which have garnered attention as high-end luxury vehicles. Alongside luxury cars, the expo also features affordable electric vehicles priced around NPR 1.9 million.
