
NSSF and Tribhuvan University Sign Agreement for Scholarships
The Nepal School Sports Federation (NSSF) and the Department of Sports Science under Tribhuvan University have signed an agreement to award two full scholarships annually for master’s studies in sports. These scholarships will be offered for up to five years, informed General Secretary Rajkumar Karki. Kathmandu, 31st Shrawan.
The agreement was signed by NSSF President Binod Shrestha and Head of the Sports Science Master’s Program, Professor Pashupati Adhikari. The event was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Dr. Duvinand Dhakal, NSSF Vice President Mohankumar Karki, among others. The scholarships are sponsored by Pragyaal Giri, Director of Bridge International, according to General Secretary Karki.
General Secretary Karki expressed his belief that the scholarships will provide valuable support to those pursuing education while advancing sports. He extended gratitude to Tribhuvan University and the Bridge International family for their collaboration. On the same occasion, NSSF honored Professor Dr. Ramkrishna Maharjan, founding head of the Sports Science Master’s program, and former National Sports Council member Gangabahadur Thapa, recognizing their contributions to the field.
