Russian Attack on Kyiv in Ukraine Claims 13 Lives, Over 40 Injured

Kathmandu. At least 13 people have been killed in the latest Russian attack on Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. More than 40 others have been injured in the assault, according to the Ukrainian Prime Minister. Ukraine continues to face a shortage of air defense missiles. According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, overnight attacks targeted numerous apartment blocks and warehouses across the city. The assault also caused damage to a children’s hospital and a school. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky attributed these casualties to the insufficient availability of air defense missiles. Ukraine relies heavily on missiles supplied by Western countries for its air defense. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, speaking outside a damaged apartment block, emphasized, ‘Ukraine needs ammunition and missile defense systems. We require the support of our allies.’
