Tottenham Prepares to Sign Manchester City’s Sabino

Tottenham Hotspur has reached an agreement to sign Brazilian winger Sabino from Manchester City for £75 million. The deal includes up to £10 million in performance-based bonuses, and Sabino will sign a long-term contract following his medical examination. Tottenham’s spending this summer is expected to exceed £300 million, including the Sabino transfer, while the club has generated around £140 million from player sales. Kathmandu, 22 August — The 22-year-old Sabino will finalize his long-term contract with Tottenham once he completes his medical tests. Tottenham’s pursuit of Sabino has been ongoing for over a year. Last season, he decided to stay at the Etihad but did not receive ample playing time under Pep Guardiola’s management, starting only seven Premier League matches.

Previously, Tottenham made significant midfield investments by signing Matheus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali. With Sabino included, the club’s total summer spending is set to surpass £300 million, although sales of Christian Romero, Jaidon Spence, and Luka Vuskovic have brought in approximately £140 million. Tottenham is also exploring the possibility of signing Manchester City’s Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush and Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo.
