Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has announced an initial budget allocation of NPR 700,000 for the translation of acts, rules, and procedures for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84. He stated that the concerned ministries may reallocate this amount or request additional funds from the Ministry of Finance as needed.
Kathmandu, 5 Bhadra – During Friday’s National Assembly meeting, Minister Wagle clarified that this budget has been earmarked under the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs, and General Administration for the purpose of translating acts, rules, procedures, directives, and standards. He emphasized that the allocation is intended to serve the ministry itself along with its commissions, departments, offices, and committees.
The Minister further explained that this is an initial budget allocation, with provisions allowing the relevant ministries to adjust the amount as necessary. He stated, “An initial amount of NPR 700,000 has been allocated for the translation of acts, rules, procedures, directives, and standards under the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, and the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration for the coming fiscal year 2083/84.”
Clarifying technical aspects of budget allocation, Minister Wagle noted that in certain cases, it is common practice to allocate budget under the general heading of ‘Grants’ without specifying specific titles or subtitles. Reassuring stakeholders, he expressed confidence by stating, “Since the Finance Minister has committed to this, we trust that necessary funds will be made available.”
