Hardik Fitness Celebrates 29th Anniversary with Table Tennis and Pickleball Tournaments

Hardik Fitness marked its 29th anniversary by hosting its first-ever pickleball and open table tennis competitions. In the men’s singles pickleball, Subarn Shah and Pranav Khanal reached the finals, while in men’s doubles, the team of Laxvikram Shah and Anis Adhikari advanced to the title match. For table tennis, the men’s singles finalists included Prajil Bhattarai and Himal Bist, the women’s singles saw Bianca Rai and Diya Deula competing for the title, and in the veterans’ singles, Chandan Shahi and Thakur Thapa made it to the finals. This event took place on September 30th in Kathmandu.

Hardik Fitness organized the pickleball tournament for the first time at Pulchowk. On Friday, Subarn Shah and Pranav Khanal competed in the men’s singles pickleball final. In men’s doubles pickleball, the pair of Laxvikram Shah and Anis Adhikari are set to face off against Subarn Shah and Sameer Pokharel for the championship. The table tennis event featured a total of 135 participants: 71 men, 22 women, and 42 veterans.

Each event across both sports offered prizes of NPR 30,000 for the winner, NPR 15,000 for the runner-up, and NPR 5,000 for third place. Bipin Maharjan, Operations Manager of Hardik Fitness, noted that the participation in both sports and the introduction of pickleball for the first time represent a historic moment. “This tournament also saw participation from national and international players, which has made this occasion especially significant,” he said. Viraj Bist, director of Hardik Fitness, expressed his happiness about organizing the pickleball tournament for the first time.
