
Liverpool Secures First Premier League Victory with Alexander Isak’s Brace
Alexander Isak scored twice as Liverpool registered their first win of the Premier League season. After drawing their first two matches, this marks Liverpool’s initial victory in the league this season. Kathmandu, 20 September – On Friday, Alexander Isak helped Liverpool secure a 2–0 victory against Ipswich Town in a Premier League fixture. This also marked the first league win for new manager Andoni Iraola, providing much-needed relief for the coach.
Signed last year for £125 million, Isak struck twice within the opening 10 minutes of the game. The Swedish international netted in the 6th and 9th minutes, with assists from Cody Gakpo on both occasions.
Additionally, Bradley Barcola made his Liverpool debut, coming on as a substitute in the 64th minute for Víctor Muñoz. Prior to this win, Liverpool had drawn against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest in the new season. With this victory, Liverpool climbed to fifth place, amassing 5 points from 3 matches. Ipswich Town, suffering their second defeat, remain 13th with 3 points.
