September 7, Kathmandu – The Madhesh Warriors achieved their first victory in the Nepal Volleyball League (NVL). After losing their previous three matches, Madhesh triumphed over Khaptad Falcons in a straight 3–0 sets during their fourth game.

The encounter, hosted at the National Sports Council’s covered hall in Tripureshwor, saw Madhesh claim the first set 25–21, the second set 25–20, and the third set 25–23. Jivin Sebastian was awarded the ‘Man of the Match’ title for his outstanding performance.

Madhesh had previously suffered defeats against Sagarmatha Smashers (3–1), Kathmandu Reds (3–2), and Annapurna Spiker Kings (3–1) in their first three matches.

Khaptad Falcons endured their third successive loss. In their prior two matches, Khaptad was also defeated in straight sets by Sagarmatha and Karnali Shivraj teams.

The next match in the tournament is scheduled for Tuesday between Kathmandu Reds and Sagarmatha Smashers.
