Asian Games Women’s Cricket Semifinal Lineup Finalized

The teams advancing to the women’s cricket semifinals at the 20th Asian Games currently underway in Japan have been finalized. Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and India have secured their spots in the semifinals. The quarterfinal match between Bangladesh and China was canceled due to rain, resulting in Bangladesh advancing to the semifinals based on net run rate. Pakistan progressed by defeating Thailand, Sri Lanka overcame Malaysia, and India defeated Japan to claim their semifinal berths.

In the semifinal round, Pakistan will face Sri Lanka, while Bangladesh will take on India. The losing teams in the semifinals will compete for the bronze medal. India entered the tournament as the defending gold medal winners in women’s cricket. A total of eight teams participated in the women’s cricket event, all of whom have completed their quarterfinal matches directly.
