October 19, Kathmandu – The second edition of the Gorkha Boxing Championship is set to take place this Saturday. Organized by Gorkha Promotions, the championship will be held at Club Nova located in Thamel, featuring boxers from Nepal and India competing across various weight categories.

In the men’s 69 kg weight category, Nepal’s Bharat Chand will face off against India’s Ankit Kumar, while in the women’s 52 kg category, Nepal’s Poonam Pun Magar will compete against India’s Mehekpreet Sidhu, according to Santosh Shah, president of Gorkha Promotions.

In the 52 kg weight group, Nepal’s Arpil Rana will contest against India’s Shanborlang Marbaniang. The undercard includes a 50 kg match between Nepal’s Funglawn Kambang and India’s Lakshay Sunaria, as well as a 57 kg bout with Nepal’s Milan Sarki competing against India’s Sahil Chauhan.

Additional contests feature Vivek Magar versus Ayush Shrestha in the 52 kg category, and Robin Khatri facing Sohan Rai in the 63.5 kg group. The event will also see the attendance of international MMA fighter Ravindra Dhat.
