Manchester City Secures Thrilling 5-3 Victory Over Sunderland with Eight Goals Scored

On October 4, in Kathmandu, the Premier League clash on Sunday evening saw Manchester City secure a thrilling 5-3 win over Sunderland. Hosted at the Etihad Stadium, City triumphed by netting five goals and earning three crucial points. Antoine Semenyo scored twice for City, while Ryan Cherki, Enzo Fernandez, and Erling Haaland each added a goal.

Though Sunderland’s Bryan Brobbey scored a hat-trick, his efforts were not enough to save his team from defeat. The scoring opened early in the match when Enzo Fernandez netted a stunning goal in the 9th minute, giving City the lead. Sunderland equalized in the 12th minute through Brobbey. Cherki restored City’s lead in the 29th minute, but Brobbey scored again in the 33rd to keep Sunderland in contention. Before halftime, Semenyo’s goal put City ahead 3-2.

In the second half, Semenyo scored again in the 57th minute to extend City’s lead. Brobbey completed his hat-trick in the 59th minute, narrowing the score to 4-3. Erling Haaland sealed the win with a goal in the 81st minute, cementing City’s 5-3 victory. No further goals were scored. With this victory, Manchester City tops the Premier League table with 15 points from five matches.
