Bhutan Men’s Cricket Team to Play Four Practice Matches in Pokhara Against Gandaki Province and CAN-11

The Bhutan national cricket team will visit Pokhara to play four practice matches as part of their preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier ‘A’. Bhutan is scheduled to play two matches against the Gandaki Province cricket team on October 27 and 28, followed by two matches against CAN-11 on October 30 and 31. The Gandaki Provincial Cricket Association has stated that this tour will support the development of cricket in Pokhara, promote sports tourism, and help establish Pokhara as an international sports destination.

The Bhutan national cricket team’s visit to Pokhara will feature four practice matches ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier ‘A’. The team will face the Gandaki Province cricket team and Nepal Cricket Association (CAN)–11 in two matches each. The first two matches will be held at the Pokhara Cricket Ground against Gandaki Province on October 27 and 28. The third and fourth matches against CAN-11 are set for October 30 and 31. Sanjaykant Sigdel, president of the Gandaki Provincial Cricket Association, expressed optimism that this tour will play a significant role in advancing cricket in Pokhara, enhancing sports tourism, and establishing a strong foundation for Pokhara as an international sporting destination. The ICC T20 World Cup Asia Sub-Regional Qualifier ‘A’ will take place from October 5 to 14 in Malaysia, featuring seven teams including Bhutan.
