Red Bull Partners with Himalaya Television as Title Sponsor for Nepal Premier League

Red Bull has joined as the ‘Title Sponsor’ for the live broadcast of the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Himalaya Television. Kathmandu, 25 September. Through this partnership, the NPL broadcasts on Himalaya Television will be presented with Red Bull as the main sponsor. This collaboration aims to elevate the growing enthusiasm for cricket in Nepal and further boost the popularity of the NPL. Alongside live matches, the partnership intends to offer viewers an exceptional and engaging broadcast experience through pre-match and post-match programs as well as special cricket content.

“We are thrilled to welcome a global and energetic brand like Red Bull as the title sponsor in our journey of broadcasting the Nepal Premier League,” said Dharma Raj Bhusal, Chairman of Himalaya Television Network. He emphasized the unprecedented enthusiasm and potential for cricket in Nepal and reaffirmed Himalaya Television and Himalaya Sports’ commitment to delivering excellent broadcasts, attractive presentations, and wide accessibility of the NPL to audiences. “This partnership with Red Bull will further strengthen our journey,” he added.

Surendra Silwal, Managing Director of Suras Beverages Pvt. Ltd., representing Red Bull Nepal, stated that Red Bull is a brand closely associated with energy, sports, and outstanding performance. “There is a natural connection between Red Bull and the passion and energy of Nepali cricket fans,” he said. “The NPL is establishing itself as a key platform in Nepali sports, and we are excited to be involved as the title sponsor for its broadcast in partnership with Himalaya Television.”

The Himalaya Television Network has committed to providing viewers a comprehensive cricket experience by broadcasting live NPL matches along with special pre- and post-match shows, analyses, and highlights of key moments. The partnership between Red Bull and Himalaya Television is expected to bring together brands, sports, and audiences on a single platform, further contributing to the development of sports broadcasting and sports marketing in Nepal. Himalaya Sports had secured the broadcasting rights for the third edition of the NPL by paying a record sum of nearly NPR 172.4 million with a bid.
