Kathmandu – The release date for the Nepali film ‘Batulo Jun,’ produced under the Sunrise Pictures Pvt. Ltd. banner, has been announced.
On the occasion of actor Anmol KC’s birthday, the release date for his upcoming film was announced on Monday. The producer revealed the film’s poster, confirming that it will premiere on Dashain’s Phulpati, 2083 BS (Aswin 30, October 16, 2026).
The poster features images of Anmol KC and Princy Khatri. Alongside the poster release, Anmol KC shared a message for his fans: “A gift for those who love me on my birthday — see you during Dashain.”
The film is a love story set in a rural backdrop, produced by Jia KC and Bhavishya Khadka. Producer Jia commented, “While watching the film, audiences will feel as if they’re experiencing Nepali society from 30 years ago, along with a sense of the present.”
Bhuvan KC directs the movie and also plays a lead role.
The cast includes former Miss Nepal International Nancy Khadka, Prakash Ghimire, Reyar Rai, Deepak KC, Shweta Mishra, Laxmi Giri, Sharda Giri, Laxminath Timilsina, Shishir Shivakoti, Arpana Ghatani, Bibika Paudel, and Kamal Devkota.
Shooting took place in Kathmandu, Myagdi, Nuwakot, Chitlang, and Pokhara. Tejvikram KC serves as the executive producer, while Samipyaraj Timilsina and Sarin Pokhrel are credited with the screenplay.
The assistant director is Pradeep Shrestha, and cinematography is by Rajesh Shrestha. Approximately 10 percent of filming remains, scheduled to be completed around the New Year 2083 in Pokhara.
